Adamawa Election Result: Fintiri Maintains Lead as INEC Suspends Collation of Adamawa’s Governorship Election Results. As the Adamawa State supplementary governorship election progresses, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has established an early lead with the results announced in 10 out of 20 local government areas (LGAs).

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, running under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has taken the lead in the Adamawa State supplementary governorship election as of 1:19 am on Sunday, winning seven local government areas (LGAs). The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Aishatu Ahmed, has won three LGAs. The state collation officer of the Independent National Electoral Officer (INEC) declared that in Demsa LGA, PDP secured 124 votes while APC received 43.

In addition, the ruling party emerged victorious in Lamurde, obtaining 580 votes compared to the APC’s 285. Similarly, in Jada, the PDP secured 271 votes while the APC got 145. The party also triumphed in Ganye LGA with 309 votes, while the APC scored 176.

The PDP also emerged victorious in Shelleng LGA with 299 votes, while the APC had 223 votes. Similarly, in Maiha LGA, the PDP had 207 votes while the APC had 172 votes. In Hong LGA, the PDP garnered 1,056 votes compared to the APC’s 361 votes.

On the other hand, the APC won in Yola South LGA with 797 votes, while the PDP had 678 votes. In Song LGA, the APC scored 558 votes, while the PDP had 411 votes. In Yola North LGA, the APC had 368 votes, and the PDP polled 357 votes.

The collation has been adjourned until 11 am.
