Jamie Foxx has been hospitalized due to a medical issue. Jamie Foxx, the 55-year-old American actor who won an Academy Award, has been admitted to a hospital in Georgia due to a medical issue that has not been disclosed.

Foxx was in the state filming a movie for Netflix at the time of his hospitalization. CNN reports that he is currently being monitored.

According to an Instagram post from Foxx’s daughter Corinne on Wednesday, her father is recovering from a medical complication that occurred the day before.

Foxx’s family revealed that he is already on the path to recovery, thanks to prompt action and excellent medical attention.

TMZ, a popular celebrity news website, reported that Foxx’s condition was serious enough at one point that his family members rushed to be by his side at the hospital.

However, an anonymous source told TMZ that the actor was able to communicate later on.

CNN reported that the medical emergency that landed Foxx in the hospital did not occur while he was filming “Back in Action,” the Netflix movie that features Foxx and Cameron Diaz in lead roles.

As of now, no comments have been made by Foxx’s representatives regarding his medical condition. AFP’s request for additional information has not yet received a response from Foxx’s team.

Foxx has had a successful career in the entertainment industry, serving as an actor, comedian, and Grammy-winning musician.

He won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 biographical musical film “Ray,” and he was also nominated for an Oscar for his role in the 2004 movie “Collateral.”

Foxx has also appeared in popular films such as “Django Unchained” and “Dreamgirls.”
